Early last month it was reported that the government had met with “influential Christian pastors” to discuss a release of UFO documents that would change how Christians view the Bible and their faith. According to reports, the pastors were given a “heads up” so that they could prepare their followers for shocking revelations about UFOs which may upend belief in the Bible. Perry Stone reported that he was one of these pastors. He warned that fellow pastors were recently invited to a secret meeting with US intelligence officials to prepare for the release of secret files on extraterrestrials. The MSN headline read: Religious leaders told 'prepare now' for UFO disclosure to unleash Bible-changing revelations. https://www.msn.com/en-in/news/world/religious-leaders-told-prepare-now-for-ufo-disclosure-to-unleash-bible-changing-revelations/ar-AA22ss2L
So far, no shocking evidence and no little green men from Mars have visited us. In fact, Stone explained that supposed revelations about aliens could make the Bible’s creation account look like a myth, causing believers to 'fall away' from the teachings of Christianity. But there is nothing significant in the new release. A couple of other pastors, who have seen the “evidence,” claim the disclosure is set up to paint Christians as the 'bad guys' who were holding humanity back, with people being told: “You were close, Christians. You were close. That's right. But no cigar. And here's what it actually is.” In the end, the group of pastors urged churches to get ready now so believers would not be shocked or deceived, but instead stay grounded in the Bible and their belief in Jesus when this 'great deception' arrives.
Enter director Steven Spielberg. On CBS Sunday Morning, Spielberg promotes his new movie “Disclosure Day.” The film explores what would happen if there were a sudden mass revelation about the existence of extraterrestrial life. His claim: viewing the movie will force people, especially Christians, to rethink who God is.
Spielberg says in the interview, “Isn’t it about time that we have been told the truth about what has been happening in our oceans and skies?” He goes on to say that the events in the film are fictitious and the characters are made up, but “in my own belief system, the credibility and what the movie is about, which, isn’t about time we are told what has been happening. The movie is built on a foundation of truth.” “What does this do to the fundamental beliefs that many of us have? … Is God our God only on this planet or is God a God for every system where there’s civilization, intelligent life, and even developing life?” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjAp_NlOH1g
I love it when celebrities use their influence to sensationalize something within a group, they know little about and on subject they know even less about. “Built on a foundation of truth?” Yes Mr. Spielberg, your truth. In reality, if aliens touched down today it would do little to nothing to alter the fundamental teachings or beliefs of true followers of Christ. God presents Himself to us as the Creator of all things, even the entire universe. As the Psalmist said, “The Lord established his throne in the heavens, and His Kingdom rules over all.” That means everything! Discovered and undiscovered by Earthlings. Spielberg is just the latest in a long line of historical figures that have tried to destroy Christianity with earthly wisdom. As Paul reminds the Corinthians: Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks he is wise in this age, let him become a fool so that he can become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God, since it is written, He catches the wise in their craftiness; and again, The Lord knows that the reasonings of the wise are futile. 1 Corinthians 3:18-20
John Stonestreet and Timothy Padget do an excellent job at documenting the historical attempts to eliminate Christianity and Jesus from history. Check out their article titled: Sorry, Spielberg: Why 'Disclosure Day' won’t destroy Christianity.

Bottom line: don’t fall for it! I have seen the promo and the first few minutes of the Disclosure Day online. If you loved E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Minority Report, War of the Worlds, A.I.: Artificial Intelligence, Ready Player One, Jurassic Park, and Close Encounters of the Third Kind (all directed by Spielberg. Make-believe is kind of his thing), then you will probably like Disclosure Day, but I bet it will not change your mind on what you actually believe about Jesus Christ and little green men.

Bro. Jonathan
